Meet Linwood Yarborough

Linwood Yarborough is an actor, writer and director.  After graduating from The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, Linwood went on to study Theater Arts at The College of Charleston.  Following the College of Charleston, he attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, West and studied film at the Pasadena City College in California.  Linwood was lucky enough to study acting with “famed” casting director, Michael Shurtleff, author of the book “Audition,” for two years in Los Angeles. Linwood is a former member of SAG/AFTRA and has performed in commercials, daytime television soap operas, and student & feature films. He has also won several awards for his films in festivals and other competitions. His documentary “Haiti, A Return Call to Care” was broadcast on local TV in Myrtle Beach, SC.  A full length feature docu-drama film on teenage drinking and driving titled, “Collateral Damage” that he wrote, directed and acted in won third place at the International Optimist Club Convention in 2004.  He has performed in numerous stage roles and this past year performed in two plays, “Bus Stop” & “Wait Until Dark” at the Footlight Players Theater in downtown Charleston, SC.  He has videotaped many pageants, fashion shows, Metro Style Columbia, Le Reve Magazine shows, dance recitals, stage performances and other theatrical & community events all over South Carolina, Georgia & Alabama.
